What’s The Difference Between A Financial Coach And A Financial Advisor?

A Financial Advisor usually gives advice or specific recommendations about investments, like what investments or mix of investments someone should have based on their age and goals. Retirement plan advisors give advice about 401(k)’s. Financial Coaches work with clients on managing their money day-to day and month-to-month—the basic stuff that people often need help with. Coaches can help clients clarify their financial goals in addition to retirement. Coaches focus on helping cleints build a better relationship with money and positive financial habits to help them reach their goals, both shorter term and longer term
